I was watching a football game last weekend (yes, I watch football sometimes when the Seahawks are playing unless I have something better to do). As the game was nearing the end and the Seahawks were winning against the Lions, one of the commentators said: “The Lions fans have this tendency to see the bottom quarter of the glass half empty.”
It got me thinking about winners in general and what it takes to have a winner mindset. As I said before, I may not know much about football, but I do know that seeing the glass half empty is bad enough, let alone seeing the bottom quarter of the glass half empty. One thing I love about the Seahawks is that the game is never over before it’s over for them. They may be in the 4th quarter, losing by quite a few points, but they will never lose their faith. As opposed to the Lions, they not only see the glass half full, but they see the top quarter of the glass half full.
When you’re faced with a challenge in your life, are you a Lion or a Seahawk? Do you see the bottom quarter of the glass half empty or the top quarter of the glass half full?
